• Dodge Avengers  
  The 2008 Dodge Avenger starts at $18,895, a substantial price drop from a comparably equipped Stratus. The mid-sized Avenger is rated at 32 mpg based on 2007 EPA standards, with the four-cylinder engine; it can be equipped with all wheel drive, a sport-tuned suspension, electronic stability and traction control, Chill Zone™, theft alarm, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel; and has a high seating position. A standard feature is side-curtain and side seat-mounted air bags. Target customers are likely to consider the Camry, Accord, Fusion, and G6; the target age is 30-35.

• Dodge Caliber 
  The 2007 Dodge Caliber was launched with a starting price of $13,985 (including destination) and was eventually be sold in 100 countries, according to Chrysler. Dodge Caliber is a five-door vehicle that combines a sporty coupe-like profile with the strength, stance and functionality of an SUV.

• Dodge Charger
  The 2006-2009 Dodge Charger is based on the LX Chrysler 300 and Doge Magnum platform. Headlights are rather large with dark surrounds to give a, "smoked out" aftermarket look. We were pleasantly surprised by Charger Hemi 0-60 times of 6.0 seconds (Chrysler estimate). The Dodge Charger SRT8, with its 425 horsepower (420 lb-ft) 6.1 liter Hemi, does 0-60 in five seconds, 0-100-0 mph in the mid-16s, and 60-0 braking in about 110 feet.

• Dodge Magnum
  2008 changes include a lowered and stretched front grille, chrome elements added to the front, dual angled headlamps, a restyled hood for SRT8, optional high intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, and new wheels. The interior was moderately redesigned, with a freshened instrument panel, center console, and door trim; chromed highlights throughout the driver’s area; carbon fiber highlights on SRT8; soft touch points throughout the interior, including arm rests on the doors and top of the center console; new seat mounted airbags in addition to side curtain airbags; new radios including MyGIG; Sirius back-seat TV optional; iPod interface on UConnect models; MDs status display (four vs eight cylinders firing) added to Hemi models; and a new tire pressure monitoring system.

• Dodge Nitro
  The 2007 Nitro has three trim levels, SXT, SLT, and R/T. The R/T includes a performance suspension, 20-inch tires, and chrome-clad aluminum wheels (all three are optional on the SLT). The base SXT start at $19,885 (rear wheel drive); the SLT at $23,295; and the R/T at $25,970. Four wheel drive was about $1,600 extra

• Grand Caravan
  Chrysler has cut prices of its minivans by up to $3,585, while adding flex-fuel capability to the base engine, electronic stability control, and tire pressure monitoring. The Caravan starts at $22,470, the T&C at $23,190; the Caravan SXT at $27,535, the Town & Country Touring at $28,430 with the Limited at $36,400. Price cuts are $1,950 for Caravan and $970 for SXT; $3,585 for Town & Country LX, $850 for Touring, and $935 for Limited.

• Durango SUV
  The hybrid SUVs — which are slated for sale next year — will feature a two-mode hybrid technology that should improve overall fuel economy by 25 percent and increase efficiency by nearly 40 percent in city driving, the story said. The gasoline Hemi engine doesn't get more than 19 miles per gallon on the highway.
